OUR VILLAGE

To help R&D for TAISBA’s first campus in Mathangwane, Botswana, Africa, volunteers for Think Tank Thuto came from locations on the opposite sides of the globe. Because of the disparate locations of our community, and as a means of communication and introduction to the village we are helping, the foundation produced a number of multi - media projects (photography and film) to showcase via numerous websites and social media pages i.e. Thuto.Foundation and www.thechildrenofbotswana.org.

Throughout Fall of 2011 close to 100 Villagers from Mathangwane allowed themselves to be photographed to show their support for the Anglican Diocese School building initiative commonly known as Think Tank Thuto. Regardless of religion - Catholic, 7th Day Adventist - everyone was very happy to have their portrait taken. A very warm and grateful thank-you to Mma Modongo for helping me communicate with the village during this time period.

I also thank everyone – From USA: LA Volunteers, the 2007 USC's Marshall Team supervised by Professor David Belasco and Lida Jennings, ARUP (Steve Done), UCLA's Global Health Team led by Dr. Claudia Emami; from Canada: Lara Wharton's Queen's University Team; The Pearson Foundation, actress Kelly Hu and composer Mitch Allan; from Luxembourg: Michel Cavro; and from Botswana: Kgosi Mathangwane and the Village Development Council (VDC); The Anglican Diocese's of Botswana's Education Committee; and Lillian Moremi's The Botswana Student Network - all who have helped us find solutions in developing TAISBA’s first campus and community initiatives (Pics by Kids and The Children of Botswana Fund) for the Children of Botswana, Africa.

Thank-you, Annelize Bester | THUTO
